Dance Performances
Throughout the year, the UW Dance Program offers a variety of dance concerts choreographed and performed by its talented faculty, staff, and students. In addition, the program sponsors nationally acclaimed guest artists who often speak at Dance’s Friday Forums (open to the public) and also collaborate with Dance personnel to present special performances. Details on individual concerts, as well as ticket information, can be found on the Dance Program’s online calendar.

democracy it is!
“democracy it is!” is a multimedia civics project with eight programs designed to meet the needs of educators in reaching and exceeding Wisconsin and national education goals with video, Web, and teaching guide materials. The program brings student activism to life from the views of the children engaged in making a difference. “democracy it is!” will inspire teachers and students to go beyond discussing what could be done in favor of getting out and making their voices heard. The program was developed by the Educational Communications Board.

Department of Administrative Leadership
The Department of Administrative Leadership develops individuals for positions of leadership in educational arenas. As an educational leader, you will have the skills to nurture leadership among others in a wide range of elementary, secondary, and post secondary programs, as well as in business and industry. We have two areas of study: School Administration, which focuses on elementary and secondary educational administration, and our Adult Education area, which focuses on post-secondary adult and continuing education leadership.

Design Gallery
The Design Gallery, located in the School of Human Ecology, holds exhibitions that relate to the processes and results of design. Exhibition programming supports the textile, apparel, and interior design programs of the Environment, Textiles, and Design Department in the School of Human Ecology. Biannual exhibitions focus on the holdings of the Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection. All Design Gallery events and exhibitions are free and open to the public. During scheduled exhibitions, hours are Wednesday–Friday, 11 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 12– 5 p.m. The gallery is closed between exhibitions, so guests should check the exhibit schedule before planning a visit.

DigiPen Video Game Programming (UW-Parkside)
DigiPen Institute of Technology, the leader in video game development education, presents a summer workshop series designed to introduce participants of all experience levels to the fundamentals of game programming. The University of Wisconsin-Parkside will be one of the "out-of-state" sites to host the two week workshops. These two-week workshops are also ideal for those considering a serious career as video game programmers.

Digital Wisconsin
Digital Wisconsin, developed by the Educational Communications Board, is a resource-rich digital media library about Wisconsin. It includes three full-length instructional television series: Cultural Horizons of Wisconsin, Exploring Wisconsin Our Home, and Investigating Wisconsin History. Each series provides unabridged teacher guides, focus questions with corresponding video clips, related Internet links, and teaching plans incorporating Digital Wisconsin into grades 3–12 instruction.

Distance Education Certificate Program
This program aims to increase participants' knowledge and skills in online education. It offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers conceptual knowledge, principles of best practices, and practical strategies for application in the work setting. Participants learn via the Internet, audio-conferencing, and modular print formats. Typical completion time is one year. The program is coordinated by the School of Education's Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis and the Office of Education Outreach.

Distance Learning Center (UW-Superior)
The Extended Degree Program at UW-Superior serves those adults who do not have access to a four year institution because of job location, community or family responsibilities. The program recognizes that its students, though dedicated to achieving educational goals, must also meet other commitments and address other priorities. Extended Degree students may earn a Bachelor of Science degree. There are two majors available through the program: the Individualized Major (which a student designs her/himself) and the Elementary Education major.

Distance Teaching and Learning Conference
This conference is recognized as a premier international gathering of educators, researchers, designers, trainers, and administrators working in distance education. With more than 1,000 annual participants and more than 150 events, there is much to share and learn as an expert or novice in distance education. The conference takes place in the summer at the Monona Terrace in Madison. It is organized by the Office of Education Outreach and by Distance Education Professional Development, in affiliation with the UW–Extension.

Diversity in Mathematics Education (DiME)
DiME is one of a network of Centers for Learning and Teaching (CLT) funded by the National Science Foundation. DiME is building an integrated program to develop and enhance the mathematics instructional workforce from kindergarten through graduate school. The program consists of three interrelated components: a doctoral/postdoctoral component; a teacher education component for teachers and instructional leaders; and a comprehensive research agenda. These components are integrated by a strong focus on the ideas of algebra and issues related to learners with diverse cultural, language, and cognitive backgrounds. The program is housed in the Wisconsin Center for Education Research. Course syllabi are available on the DiME Web site.

EDiPHY: Education in the Physical
Developed by faculty, staff and students of the Kinesiology Department in the School of Education, this Web site contains a wide array of physical education activities and resources. More than just a list, the site offers resources that can help users become better teachers, students, or supporters of physical education in their schools. The site also features a means for submissions so that its resources continue to grow as the site is used.

Educating Young People About Water
Educating Young People About Water (EYPAW) provides guidelines and materials to develop a community-based, water education program that targets youth and links key community members in partnerships – all working toward common water education goals. EYPAW program guides will help users choose water curricula appropriate for learners; plan and evaluate a water education program in relation to a local water issue; work in partnership with local experts; and improve the ability of youth to manage and protect water. The Web site's database provides links to more than 200 water-related curricula and water education resources. EYPAW is sponsored by the Environmental Resources Center.

Education Outreach (UW-Green Bay)
In these web pages you will find a variety of exciting learning experiences aligned with the Wisconsin Standards for Teacher and Administrator development and licensure, and taught by educational leaders from our very own community of Green Bay. In addition to the courses you find here, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Office of Outreach and Extension works directly with individual school districts to provide customized learning opportunities. Not only can we bring these courses to your district, we can work with teachers and instructional leaders to develop new and exciting learning opportunities that address specific district and building goals.

Educational and Psychological Training Center
The Educational and Psychological Training Center (EPTC) is a student training facility in the School of Education. The primary mission of EPTC is to train students to work with people experiencing learning, behavioral, psychosocial or vocational difficulties. EPTC promotes the research of new and better clinical practices and serves individuals, couples, families, schools, and other community organizations. EPTC’s programs in counseling psychology, school psychology, rehabilitation psychology, and special education are especially designed to serve K–12 communities. Among the services offered by the school psychology program, for example, are educational assessment of children ages 3–21 years, individual interventions for children and adolescents with social-emotional difficulties (e.g., anxiety and depression), and parent-education workshops for parents desiring improved child-management skills.

Educational Materials Center
The Educational Materials Center (EMC) is designed to support UW-Stout's teacher education programs and area teachers by offering learning resources typically used at the Pre K-12 levels of instruction. The EMC provides a variety of resources for teachers and teachers-in-training that includes curriculum guides, juvenile periodicals, puppets, and much more. Area teachers can get a "community user" card that enables them to check out library materials.
